We used two different methods to solve these problems. We made an organized list of factorizations to make sure we knew all of our choices, and we added the window to the diamond as a second method of factoring these quadratic trinomials.

I don't get the order we have to put the two quantaties in. It doesn't show a clear pattern in the answers at the book. I thought it was the greatest quantity first... Does it matter which order these have to be in?

Hyun, everybody will be taking the survey in class on Thursday except for 5th period. They will take it tomorrow so the Superintendent can watch another class in the computer lab when he comes to visit. Anyone who is going to be absent the day we take the survey can take it from home. I will explain more on Thursday (or tomorrow if you are in 5th period).
Today in class we learned that when we factor completely that when we multiply the first, and fourth, and the second, and third numbers it comes out to be the middle number, for the organized list method. For the window method you must place the first term in the top, left window, and the last term in the bottom, left winow. After you must put the two terms that can make that term around it. Once done, you will have found out the answer, by looking on the outside of the box.
