Today, we learned the sum and difference of rational expression. In this lesson, we learned how to make the denominator the same. For example, 4/5x - 1/xx. In this case, 5xx is the commondenominator. So, we mutiplied x to 4/5x and 5 to 1/xx. That will lead us to 4x-5/5xx.

Today was just like yesterday, only now we have to find the common denominator instead of starting with it. Example 3/9+7/x. For this equation 9x is the common denominator. We multiply 3/9 by x. Also, we multiply 7/x by 9. We end up with 3x/9x+56/9x.
