Sums and Differences of Rational Numbers: Day 2 CA SS: 13.0
Today the denominators were different, so you have to make them the same before you can combine the numerators. Remember to multiply the same factor (even if it is a quantity) to the top and bottom of the fraction. Multiply each numerator by the new factor (or quantity), but do not multiply the denominators. Keep the denominators in factored form. After multiplying the factors in each numerator, you can combine the numerators of each rational number (fraction) together. See if the new numerator is factorable, so you can reduce the fraction.
