journal: 9/28/10
today we didn't learn anything in class but presented our posters from friday, and got our study guides for the text tomarrow. Although helpful, i still dont quite understand the point of doing the posters.
Study for your test is your homework. The study guide is just one option.
@Breana filling out the enrollment form is what it says in blue. We need the information and money to reserve the trip and book the airfare.
As Mr. Gerson said, the study guides aren't cosidered a real assignment.
Calvin, are you sure you didn't learn anything in class?

Today in math class we gave presentations on posters that we were doing on friday. Most of the posters were solved by picture or equation. My group used an equation to solve our problem. The team that I was in was lucky because our team got an easy question. Today was an easy day.
yeah we have to study for the test tommorrow
WHAT STUDYGUIDE I DIDNT GET ONE!!! AND WHAT IS IT ON
are the word problems from the poster presentations on the test?
Mr Gerson, okay im still a bit lost, so are we suppose to get a form and fill it out for the trip?
@Diana no i don't think the word problems from the presentation will be on the test unless they're on your study guide.
@John uhhh you were suppose to get the study guide when you left. Oh well it's for pratice anyways, you won't have to turn it in even though it's good pratice.

Today in class most of the groups were able to present our posters/problems from last Friday. After we were able to ask questions about the problem. it was a very helpful and productive day for some of us who actually learned from some of the Algabra problems
John, the study guide was what you were supposed to take on your way out of class. Don't worry, it isn't mandatory. But you'll just have to study in another way.

Today we presented our posters that showed different reasoning strategies. I learned to read questions very carefully, or else I could make mistakes that I wouldn't have made otherwise.
Kathrine we need your period number.
I'm from period six, I still can't figure out how to change the username D:

today we presented our posters and got a study guide
cierra...im not sure but i think the journal entry should be longer...
when is the test and that is all i could think of
so no homework then?
Mr. Gerson is there a deadline for the DC trip. And as I said before I don't think kids not in your class know about the trip
well Sean remember that the longer we take in the enrollment process the more expensive the tickets are....and we don't want that
Paige's question brings up an important point. Before you ask a question, read through the comments to see if it has already been answered. If it is, don't ask it again. If it hasn't, please ask.
So...the homework is to study for your test.

Today we presented our posters from Friday and corrected some of them by asking questions. Then we got a study guide for the test tomorrow. It was helpful and I learned to read the problems carefully

this is my journal entry:
today we finished up the last little peices of our posters that we started on friday and presented them. we had to pick one or two of the few strategies to solve the problem. Most of the problems were very easy and straightforward. my group and i had no difficulty solving our problem with an equation. today was very easy overall.

-for the D.C. trip, you need a form
-the study guide is not homework! it is just for practice for the test tomorrow.
