i hipe i do good on the test tomorrow...and can people stop justsaying 'hi'?this blog is supposed to be for math... But then again, thats just one opinion...
On etusd in my Algebra 1 course, you will find the practice test. It will close at 10:00PM. No, it is not for credit. I am just giving you more opportunities to study. What you study is always your choice.
We need Jake to post on the blog. Because me Sean Eric and Andrew have all told everyone that they need to write the problem and work, most of them still don't write the word problems -_- Maybe Jake's message will actually get to them....
on my homework can i write write it in this way?: ex. solve for the following equations. (1) 4+5x=300 (2) blabla bla in other words can i just write the instuctions then the problem then the answer?
You have to show the work......you can't just put 4+5x=300 and then bam whatev the answer is..... if you don't show the work too bad no credit for you.... i swear i'v told people this like 20 times already.....
They think that if they keep asking your answer will change. It is an old Jedi Mind Trick for parents. If you ask enough, they give into the Dark Side and say "Yes, anything to make you stop asking." Be strong and don't give into the Dark Side.

Oh, and Breana, that was yesterday's HW. Just sayin'. Yeah.
Does anybody know how to get to the online test?

Hi. I was told that if you get one problem wrong on your hw assignments that you get no credit on that assignment. Is that true???
Lizzie, do you mean the Math Common Assessment test?
eTUSD-->My Courses-->All Courses-->Middle School Math Assessment-->Gerson8-->Take test.
its not middle school math assesment
its on Algebra 1-gerson.
it says Chapter 1 sample test
Does anyone know if when you get a wrong answer on a homework assignment that you get no credit? is this true???
I'm pretty sure, Mr. Gerson isn't that what you said?

no at least i don't think so
Remember to write the problem down!
hello is eric x. there???

I have an idea. Let us make them justify each step with the corresponding property. That is the way Hull and Magruder are doing it.
You don't need to write out the directions. Write out the whole problem, including word problems, and show your work:
Example:
4+17x=38 (problem)
4+17x-4=38-4 (Subtract 4 from both sides)
17x=34 (Combine like terms)
(1/17)(17x)=(34)(1/17) (Divide by 17)
x=2 (answer)
Does anybody know how many points the test we took on Friday was worth? Just asking... Yeah...
Eric that's a great example! thanx
what was todays homework?
Lizzie, have you checked Parent Connect?
There was no homework for Friday, I think.
Marcus, Sept. 18 was a Saturday. :P
I don't think we had homework, unless if you were absent.
is anybody on right now??
Alternate Example:
4+17x=38 (Given)
4+17x-4=38-4 (Subtraction Property of Equality)
17x=34 (Combine Like Terms)
(1/17)(17x)=(34)(1/17) (Division Property of Equality)
x=2 (Solution)
Thanks Eric. I used your example.
