November 3,2010 Today in class we talked a bout the products of polynomials. That is what it is called when you multiply monomials, binomials, trinomials... together. Mr. Gerson taught us two ways to make the multiplication easier. One was Binomial Bob and the other was AMOM. AMOM stands for area model of multiplication.
Journal Entry: Today in class we learned how to multiply polynomials, by using diffrent methods. Some of the methods included; A.M.O.M ( Area monomial of multiplication), Binomial Bob, and the distributive property. However, we can not use the F-Word method to solve these equations. Examples: 4x(2x+4)= 8x^2+16x (x+3)(x+4)= x^2+7x+12
Journal Entry: Today we learned about Polynomials. This time, we learned how to multiply them together to get a product. The two methods you can use while multiplying Polynomials are the Chart method and the Bob method. It really helps you solve the problems accurately and quickly!
Journal Entry 11/03/10 Eiley Ikeda Per. 5 Today in class we learned how to multiply polinomials together and get a product. There were 3 ways to do this; the distributive property, the chart method and the Binomial Bob. We learned that the most important steps when we find the product is to look at the: 1)signs 2)numerals 3)varibales e.g. (x+3)(x-5) = x(x)+x(-5)+3(x)+3(-5) = x^2-5x+3x-15 = x^2-2x-15 (I used the distributive property)

JOURNAL ENTRY ~ Today in 2nd period , we learned about the product of polynomials. In this category , there is a way to solve the product of polynomials called foiling . (x+3)(x+4) = x(x) + x(4) + 3(x) + 3(4) = x2 + 4x + 3x +12 = x2 + 7x + 12 (x squared) In addition , we also learned other methods like the box and "BOB" foiling . The different ways were to help us solve the polynomials easily .
November 3,2010 Today in class we learned how to multiply polynomials. There are different methods that can be use to solve these polynomials. You can use the AMOM (area model of multiplication, or binomial bob. So, overall to solve products of polynomials you use the distributive property. Also remember to use the three steps, signs, numerals, and variables. Example (y^3+7)(y^3-7) = y^3(y^3)+y^3(-7)+7(y^3)+7(-7) distributive property =y^6-7y^3+7y^3-49 combine like terms =y^6-49
Today in class we learned how to multiply polynomials. He showed us two ways to find the answers. One way was that he showed us distributive property. The other way was using a square box and dividing it into four parts. After you do that, you have to put the equation above the top of the square and the side of the square. Multiply from side to top until everything is multiplied. Add the sides together and pit it in descending order.

Today in Mr. Gersons class we learned about products of polynomials. When multiplying two binomials by the box method or Bob method, but I think the FOIL (First Outer Inner Last)method is best. Ex. (2x+4)(4x+6) Then monomials just multiply by distributive property. Ex. 5(2x+6) DISTRIBUTE

I might!!!!! It depends on my mom though. :(
I might also. Depends on what my dads doing that day.

@ Mr. Gerson, could I go on the trip next year instead of this year when I'm in 8th grade??
@ paula
he might not go to the trip to that place.
