Jordyn C. Per.4 said...

Wait, I'm confused Mr. Gerson. Do we have homework?

SyaraS.per5 said...

hey Mr. Gerson !!!
I just finished my H.W !!

Mr. Gerson said...

The blog post says here are the answers to the "in class assignment" because some students did not have time to complete the corrections. Page 50 Chapter Assessment was not listed on the board in Green or on the blog. It is not specifically work assigned for home.

I did tell everyone that studying for your test is homework, so if you consider page 50 part of that studying, then you are justified in calling it homework.

There! I made everybody right.

Eric X. Per. 3 TA said...

Jordyn, we do not have homework, except study for the test.

DaisukeHper3 said...

So let me get this strait, we don't have to do the problems in page50, but we should do it.

LindseyOper4 said...

you need finish the problems that we did in class. you should do other problems on pg. 50 to study for the test

Mr. Gerson said...

Rather than arguing about whether a few problems should be done or not, how about discussing some area of difficulty like factoring?

do you guys know how to get onto etusd?

Mr. Gerson said...

Noah, look at Anthony's comment yesterday at 4:00 PM. He did a great job of explaining it and fix your display name.

Mr. Gerson said...

Lindsey, please take your last name out of your display name and just leave the last initial. Thanks.

can someone tell me the difference between associative and commutative
thanx

natashadper2 said...

mr gerson
3(4x2)=(3x2)4

is that changing it to communitve and associative or just communitive property

natashadper2 said...

sorry i didnt ask in class

MichelleYPer6 said...

Mr. Gerson
will studying the similar problems from our practice help me on the test?

KatieK Per 5. said...

The difference between communicative and associative property is what you move.
For communicative property, you move the numbers. For example, 3+4 ;4+3. all i did was move the numbers.
For associative property, you move the parenthesis. For example, 3(x+4);(3x)+4. The only thing moved was the parenthesis.
Hope this helps :)

Natasha,
3(4x2)=(3x2)4
You used both. First, the parenthases moved from 4x2 to 3x4(associative). So the equation looks like this:
3(4x2)=(3x4)2
Then you switch 4 and 2(communitive) which equals:
(3x2)4.

mr.Gerson can we take the exam again for extra help???

Anonymous said...

communitive is when you change the order
and associative is when you change the grouping

natasha its bothh communitive and associative
srry not sure bout spelling
