The blog post says here are the answers to the "in class assignment" because some students did not have time to complete the corrections. Page 50 Chapter Assessment was not listed on the board in Green or on the blog. It is not specifically work assigned for home.
I did tell everyone that studying for your test is homework, so if you consider page 50 part of that studying, then you are justified in calling it homework.
The difference between communicative and associative property is what you move. For communicative property, you move the numbers. For example, 3+4 ;4+3. all i did was move the numbers. For associative property, you move the parenthesis. For example, 3(x+4);(3x)+4. The only thing moved was the parenthesis. Hope this helps :)
Natasha, 3(4x2)=(3x2)4 You used both. First, the parenthases moved from 4x2 to 3x4(associative). So the equation looks like this: 3(4x2)=(3x4)2 Then you switch 4 and 2(communitive) which equals: (3x2)4.

So let me get this strait, we don't have to do the problems in page50, but we should do it.
you need finish the problems that we did in class. you should do other problems on pg. 50 to study for the test
Rather than arguing about whether a few problems should be done or not, how about discussing some area of difficulty like factoring?
