Chapter 1 Pretest

Today we took a pretest of Chapter 1 to see if there are any lessons we can skip. You have seen the topics that are covered in Chapter 1, so you should have an idea of what you know and what you do not know from this chapter. Some students have asked that I make sure to cover distributive property, factor, replacement set/solution set, and equivalent expressions.

There is nothing due tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will begin discussing the properties and vocabulary terms used in chapters 1 and 2.The picture was taken by NASA. You can follow the link to their Astronomy Picture of the Day to see other photos or to learn more about the Andromeda Galaxy.

The pretest shows you everything covered in Chapter 1. You now know what the Chapter 1 test is going to be like too. It would be great if there were any lessons in Chapter 1 that we could skip because you learned them in pre-algebra, but if I need to teach the whole chapter, then that is what I will do.
