It is not required that you have a calculator. Most students prefer having their own, so they do not have to share. If you want a graphics calculator, the TI-84 plus silver edition is today's standard. It should last you through high school.
If anyone does decide to buy a new Texas Instruments calculator, bring the UPC symbols to class. They have a program for teachers. I will look up how many calculators it takes for us to get a free one.
Mr. Gerson, whenever i try to add this blog thing it says it cant be found, i mean i can just go to study island and click the link but then i have to sign in all over again and my computer is REALLY slow so it takes a while. Is there any faster way to get to this blog page?

In the mean time, a graphics calculator is much fancier. It has a larger screen because it shows you graphs and tables. A graphics calculator is more like a computer. It can be programmed. It comes with a thick users manual because it can do so much more than a scientific calculator.
We only have TI-80s at school. They are way outdated. That is why I am recycling old printer cartridges and cell phones. I am trying to raise enough money for a class set of TI-84s. I have raised $1000 so far, only $3900 more to go.

my mo looked up hpw much the cost of the calc. is and its around $100. idk if we need it but it is SOO expensive.
